The Zaire Dwarf Clawed Frog, also known as Hymenochirus boettgeri, is a species of frog in the family Pipidae1. It is found in Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, and east to the Central African Republic and to eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. The frog has a brown to grey-coloured body covered with dark blotches and can grow between 2 to 3 inches long. The Zaire dwarf clawed frog spends almost its entire life underwater and lives throughout central and western Africa in slow-moving rivers and creeks
