The Silver Arowana are relatively peaceful fish, but as well as needing a big tank they also have big appetites so we would not advise housing them with tank mates that are small enough to fit in their mouth. 
A good sized tank with a moderate degree of moving water is preferred along with a secure tank cover as they are known to escape if given the chance.
