1. Introduction

At Discovery Aquatics, we are committed to providing our customers with high-quality aquatic livestock and ensuring their satisfaction with their purchases. We understand the importance of healthy and thriving aquatic life in our customers' tanks and aquariums. Therefore, we have established this Aquatic Livestock Guarantee Policy to outline our commitment to the well-being of the aquatic life we sell and the satisfaction of our customers.


2. Scope

This policy applies to all aquatic livestock purchased from Discovery Aquatics either in-store or through our online platform. It covers fish, invertebrates, plants, and any other living organisms classified as aquatic livestock. This policy does not include shipping/transport costs.


3. Guarantee Period

We offer a guarantee period of 7 days from the date of purchase for all aquatic livestock. During this period, customers are eligible for certain benefits as outlined in this policy.


4. Guarantee Coverage

a. Health Guarantee: We guarantee that all aquatic livestock sold by Discovery Aquatics are healthy at the time of purchase. If any livestock is found to be unhealthy or diseased within the guarantee period, customers are entitled to store credit, or replacement, subject to terms.


b. Quality Guarantee: We guarantee that the aquatic livestock sold by Discovery Aquatics will meet the quality standards expected by our customers. If customers are dissatisfied with the quality of any livestock purchased, they may return it within the guarantee period for store credit, or replacement.


c. Compatibility Guarantee: We provide assistance and guidance to ensure that customers select compatible aquatic livestock for their tanks or aquariums. However, if any compatibility issues arise within the guarantee period, customers may return the incompatible livestock for store credit or exchange, subject to our discretion.


5. Exclusions

The following situations are excluded from this guarantee policy:


  • Livestock that has been damaged or compromised due to customer negligence or improper care.
  • Livestock that has been subjected to incompatible tank conditions, water parameters, or tank mates.
  • Livestock that has been injured or harmed by aggressive tank mates or environmental factors beyond our control.
  • Livestock that has been used in breeding attempts or has been intentionally harmed or mishandled by the customer.


6. Customer Responsibilities

To be eligible for the benefits of this guarantee policy, customers must:


  • Provide proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation).
  • Follow acclimation procedures recommended by Discovery Aquatics.
  • Maintain appropriate tank conditions, water parameters, and tank mates suitable for the livestock purchased.
  • Notify Discovery Aquatics immediately upon discovering any issues with the aquatic livestock.


7. Claim Process

To initiate a claim under this guarantee policy, customers must contact Discovery Aquatics within the guarantee period and provide relevant information;


·         Proof of purchase

·         Photograph of any deceased or ill livestock

·         Photograph of water test results including Ph, Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate levels

·         Tests must be from liquid test kit to validate results.

 


Our customer service team will assess the claim and provide instructions for returning the livestock if necessary.
